Pathways to Empowerment is a collection of services designed to help people be the best they can be and break down any barriers that are in the way of living a completely fulfilled life.
I have designed workshops, speeches, and facilitate one on one and group sessions all meant to expand and empower you. There is greatness in all of us and by listening to what you want to achieve in your life, I can help you move towards fulfilling on your dreams.

After the unexpected and sudden loss of my eight-year-old daughter Rachel from a condition called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura which she contracted from a flu virus, I was devastated and did not want to live. I decided that this would never be ok, and I could never be happy or feel joy in my heart.

There was something inside that wanted to carry on and I did everything I could think of to heal my broken heart and create a new future for myself in the face of my brokenness.
As I went through the recovery process I learned that I had many other losses that I was unaware of and had not dealt with. I had gone through divorce, loss of trust through abuse, loss of financial status, 3 miscarriages, loss of job, and loss of lifestyle. The impact of these experiences were preventing me from living a fulfilled life.

I learned that grief is the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behaviour. Doing the grief recovery work revealed all the losses I had experienced and provided me the opportunity to embrace and reclaim my life.

I no longer suffer from the loss, as I have fully accepted it and become complete with the past. I am inspired and empowered to give away the gift of recovery to others that are suffering or are incomplete with their losses. I have healed and I am happy with joy in my heart again and I am clear that you can too.

What is Grief Recovery?
The effects of grief are many. Assuming our physical health is okay, unresolved grief tends to drain us of energy. It tends to close our hearts down. It often causes depression. Since we are incomplete with a prior loss, we almost automatically “protect” ourselves by not loving again. More accurately, we limit our loving exposure and thereby doom new relationships to fail. Commonly, grievers will hide their true feelings. Where isolation is the problem, participation is a major part of the solution. The Grief Recovery® Program is the ultimate participation for discovering and completing the unfinished emotional business that fuels the isolation.

Whether the loss was recent or long ago, it may be limiting your ability to participate fully in life. The Grief Recovery® Program assists in your ultimate journey back to your heart and to the mainstream of your life.

The Grief Recovery® Program addresses that incompleteness through simple exercises that bring long-term benefits, completing the pain and the unfinished emotions. Whatever your loss, recovery is possible.

I am passionate and committed to helping people to heal and I look forward to working with you or someone you know that is seeking this kind of healing. For more information visit www.pathwaystoempowerment.ca
