DSA offers summer fun!

Having opened a new campus on Cedar Street in Ajax, Durham Secondary Academy & Middle School began its tenth year providing private school education in Durham Region with a celebration!

Durham Secondary Academy is a co-educational private day school, offering university and college preparatory programs. In addition to providing an academic environment where good students can excel, Durham Secondary Academy offers an opportunity for students who may have been struggling in a traditional school setting, to thrive and reach their true potential.

Durham Secondary Academy is a small school that caters to a wide range of students. Whether you're looking for high marks, a more individualized approach or a safe, caring environment, Durham Secondary Academy offers is all, and students benefit from the maximum class size of 12.

Durham Secondary Academy faculty are second to none, and are selected for their teaching abilities, their academic training and life experience, their capacity for concern and understanding, as well as their commitment to the philosophy of the school. Core subjects are taught by subject specialists and the overall student-to-teacher ratio is maintained at approximately 10 to one.

Durham Secondary Academy offers a unique safe environment with small classes where students individual learning styles can be accommodated. Teachers are able to work closely with students, whose progress and organization skills are monitored on a daily basis.

Durham Secondary Academy offers individualized instruction and a tutorial type classroom setting, as well as a unique 10-week semester program where students take two subjects in each of the years four semesters.

The new campus, located at 1 Cedar Street in Ajax, has larger classrooms, space for indoor and outdoor activities, as well as better access to public transportation.

Summer camps are offered for ages eight through 12. The camp consists of a combination of the typical summer camp fun and games, as well as a providing an academic portion to prepare students for the upcoming school year.

They provide necessary skills like math and sciences while taking a fun approach towards them.
